In this reimagining of one of Shakespeare’s best-known plays, the characters of Hamlet, Ophelia and Horatio do appear, but this is not their story. Instead, two of his minor characters step into the spotlight, proving that there really are no small parts in theatre!
Swapping long Shakespearean monologues for quick-fire wit and wordplay, the characters of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are a brilliant comic double-act, telling a story of love, loyalty and betrayal. This original and absurd take on Hamlet will make you laugh and cry as you enjoy this brilliant play from the late Tom Stoppard, one of our greatest modern writers.
