Easter Family Garden Trail

Help Alice follow the White Rabbit and spot some of the unusual inhabitants of Wonderland along the way.

Find the posters hidden in the gardens and complete your trail sheet. 

Includes a small sweet prize. Pick up your trail sheet from the Visitor Centre – follow signage. Pay on the day

Location: Located outside in the gardens. Pick up your trail sheet from the Visitors Centre

Who would like this: Family groups with children aged 3-10 years. Advise one trail sheet per child as small sweet prize is not easily shared. Families with under 3’s welcome at their own discretion. The younger the child, the more teamwork required.

What to bring: Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes for walking the site over uneven ground and grass areas. Ask for a free pencil if you need one.

How does it work: Buy a trail from the Visitor Centre and follow the instructions on it. You will be searching for locations around the gardens where you will find an Alice in Wonderland theme poster and a creature from the story. Once you find the locations, you will be able to complete the questions on the trail sheet.

You will need a pencil to do this, so ask for one if you need it.  Our trails are designed for all the family to participate, but you only need buy the trail sheet for each child taking part. The prize is usually a small sweet, but please ask before purchasing the trail.

Accessibility & Facilities: All trail sheets are bagged up with the prize so that you do not need to return to a crowded queue to get it. There may be a queue for the trails at peak times.  If you are able, ask one person to queue so that the rest of the group don’t get bored.  This event is held on uneven parkland.
