Maritime Hashtag Minute – Sunday 8th June 2025

This week’s #MaritimeHashtagMinute was #VolunteersWeek, which is held every year from the first Monday in June. First celebrated in 1984, it was conceived as a “platform to thank current and past volunteers for their invaluable efforts”. View the Tweets below:

Volunteers contributed 6 million hours to support the NHS over the last year.

Today marks the start of #VolunteersWeek and we simply wouldn’t be able to train as many hearing dogs, or help as many deaf people as we do, if it wasn’t for our volunteers.
